Allyson Michelle Felix OLY (born November 18, 1985) is an American retired track and field sprinter who competed in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 400 meters. She specialized in the 200 meters from 2003 to 2013, then gradually shifted to the 400 meters later in her career.
Felix is the most decorated female track and field athlete in Olympic history, with 11 medals: seven gold, three silver, and one bronze. She is also the most decorated American track and field athlete in Olympic history.
Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, where she won a silver medal in the 200 meters. She went on to win gold medals in the 200 meters at the 2012 London Olympics and the 4 × 400 meter relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, and 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She also won silver medals in the 200 meters at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, and a bronze medal in the 400 meters at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
In addition to her Olympic medals, Felix is also a 13-time World Championships medalist, with six gold medals, three silver medals, and four bronze medals. She is also a two-time Diamond League champion in the 200 meters.
Felix is known for her incredible speed and her ability to come through in clutch situations. She is a role model for many young athletes, and she is an inspiration to people all over the world.
In 2022, Felix announced her retirement from track and field. She is now a mother, a wife, and a businesswoman. She is also a vocal advocate for social justice and equality.
