Sir Michael Philip Jagger (born 26 July 1943) is an English singer, songwriter, actor, and film producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist and one of the founder members of the Rolling Stones. Jagger's career has spanned over six decades, and he has been widely described as one of the most popular and influential frontmen in the history of rock music.

Jagger was born and raised in Dartford, Kent. He studied at the London School of Economics before abandoning his studies to focus on his career with the Rolling Stones. In the early 1960s, the Rolling Stones became one of the most popular rock bands in the world, and Jagger became a major figure in popular culture.

Jagger is known for his flamboyant stage persona and his distinctive vocals. He has also been a successful songwriter, co-writing many of the Rolling Stones' most famous songs, such as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Brown Sugar", and "Jumping Jack Flash".

In addition to his work with the Rolling Stones, Jagger has also released four solo albums. He has also starred in a number of films, including Performance (1970), Ned Kelly (1970), and Freejack (1992).

Jagger is a controversial figure, but he is also one of the most iconic and enduring figures in rock music. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

In 2003, Jagger was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to popular music.
