Ronda Jean Rousey (born February 1, 1987) is an American mixed martial artist, judoka, actress, and author. She is the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in judo and the first woman to hold the UFC championship in two different weight classes. 

Rousey was born in Riverside, California, and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. She began training in judo at the age of 11, and she quickly became one of the top judokas in the United States. In 2004, she became the youngest American to win a judo world championship, and in 2008, she won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

After the Olympics, Rousey transitioned to mixed martial arts (MMA). She quickly became one of the most dominant fighters in the sport, winning 12 consecutive fights by armbar submission. In 2012, she became the first UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. She defended her title six times before losing to Holly Holm in 2015.

In 2016, Rousey began acting in films. She has starred in the films Furious 7 (2015), Mile 22 (2018), and Charlie's Angels (2019). She has also written an autobiography, My Fight/Your Fight, which was published in 2015.

Rousey is a role model for many young women. She is a strong and independent woman who has achieved great success in both judo and MMA. She is an inspiration to millions of people around the world.

In 2018, Rousey returned to the UFC and defeated Amanda Nunes for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship. She became the first woman to win two UFC championships in different weight classes.
